Who we are

The Nigerian-American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC) is a political action group created to form a united front for Nigerian-Americans in the United States to participate in the political process of the United States. NAPAC impacts policies and public offices in the best interests of Nigerian-Americans in the United States and Nigeria.

NAPAC is a non-partisan political action committee (PAC) which has no political or corporate affiliation. Membership is open to individuals eligible to vote in U.S. elections.

The Committee only supports and endorses candidates running for federal elections or nominations. We endorse candidates for Presidential, Senatorial and Congressional elections.

NAPAC provides mechanisms for, and encourages, active participation of its members in determining its policy positions. Prior to endorsing a political aspirant or policy, NAPAC determines that the individual's policy positions or the policy are aligned with those of the Committee. NAPAC then makes contributions and provides support to that candidate or policy.

Currently, the Committee's areas of focus are immigration, education, social security and foreign policies as well as providing community service.

NAPAC activities are funded entirely by contributions from individuals and dues paid by members. Members and non-members can make donations to the organization, to a specified candidate or the advocacy of a particular policy. Note that only U.S. citizens or permanent residents can donate to a PAC and those donations are not tax deductible.

NAPAC's Federal Elections Committee (FEC) identification number is C00499228.
